Wetland Wildlife category
From classic bird portraits and wildflower studies, to the arty and abstract. This is your chance to impress by showing the wildlife off to its best.
Photographs entered into this category MUST have been taken at one of WWT's nine wetland wildlife centres and be entered in the correct seasonal heat in which they were taken.
After each seasonal heat closes, the entries will be shortlisted and a winner chosen from each of WWT's nine wetland wildlife centres. Winners from each of the four seasonal heats will go through to the national finals to be held in autumn 2012.
The national winner of the Wetland Wildlife category will win a 3 day bird of prey photography workshop in the Czech Republic, courtesy of Tatra Photography. In addition, winner will also receive a subscription to Bird Watching Magazine, courtesy of Bird Watching Magazine.
Whilst in the Czech Republic, the winner will spend two days photographing a wide range of raptors, including golden eagle, sea eagle, peregrine falcon and a variety of owls, both in-flight and posed in stunning, natural settings.
The course culminates in a unique opportunity to photograph at eye level eagles gliding above a natural pond. The prize also includes a return flight from the UK, transfers and accommodation.
All regional/seasonal winners will win a photography course held by nature photography experts Wild Arena.

Prize holiday includes.
The holiday prize is a place for 1 person on the Bird of Prey photography workshop in the Czech
Republic.
Included in the prize are return flights from the UK to Prague, 2 nights half board single room
accommodation, airport transfers and all transport to photography locations, professional
photography tuition from Chris Weston. -
